Hi gang, just a few quick words to let you all know where we are at. We have 6 songs ready to go and are working on the last three. Things are coming along fine, though a bit slow. BUT we are in the home stretch and anticipate finishing up by the end of the year. I must say the songs are sounding great! Hang in there and you will be rewarded, I promise.
Just want to chime in on Paul’s comments. We have 3 songs in the can and 6 more almost done. Both Paul and I are very excited as the recordings are going quite well and the contributions from Tweed and Jon have been invaluable. Maybe we’ll release a cd of the material we have already recorded, or maybe we’ll just continue recording and release a double cd of all our material. IE will go on regardless of who lives where, and who’s doing what, and who’s playing with who. I feel that the music is too good to be ignored and I also feel that Paul is a very special musician and song writer. It is an honor to be working with him and we will find a way to continue. So, as Paul said, stay tuned!
So Jeff moved up to Santa Rosa last year, which really slowed things down. He comes down once every month or two and we have been recording at Tweed Banister’s studio with Tweed playing bass. We are trying to record all the songs we had as Invisible Eddie. Jon Nohai is doing the engineering. It’s a slow process, but we are almost done with 6 new songs, which will be on the site, hopefully, within the next couple of months. Meanwhile, Jeff and I are trying to figure out how to keep IE going. Jeff, being the excellent drummer he is, had no problem getting involved with some other projects in his area. After many months I have just gotten things worked out with this web page and can now manage it. We hope to keep the IE project moving forward as it has been quite special for myself and Jeff. Stay tuned.
Rock-n-roll is alive and well in Santa Cruz!
